Nephthys Regatta

OULRC will hold the Nephthys Regatta on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th November 2017.

Don't miss this important warm up event for Christ Church Regatta - the only race practice your novices will get before the main event in 7th week and the only chance to race senior VIIIs side by side in Oxford.

With water levels on the Isis increasingly unpredictable it's important to give your novices (and senior squads) as many chances to race as possible. Don't let the weather rob your freshers of any racing this term. In the past decade Christ Church has been wholly or partial cancelled on at least 4 occasions, while Nephthys Regatta has gone ahead in full every time.

Due to demand for places over the last few years we're running the regatta over two days again. Senior events will be held on Friday afternoon with novice VIIIs on Saturday. In the case of large entries we'll also run a few first round novice races on Friday to make space in the draw for as many novices as possible.

Entry costs are £60 for an 8+, £25 for a 4+ and £10 for a single scull. Lightweight coxed fours are particularly encouraged and race at a subsidised cost of £15 for the crew.

Entries accepted in the following categories:

  • Men’s Novice 8+
  • Women’s Novice 8+
  • Men’s Senior 8+
  • Women’s Senior 8+
  • Men’s Senior 4+
  • Women’s Senior 4+
  • Men’s Lwt 4+ (each crew member must weigh 75kgs or less)
  • Women’s Lwt 4+ (each crew member must weigh 62kgs or less)
  • Women’s/Men’s Senior 1x

Event plan and competitors' instructions will be published on this website. All entries to be made through the OURCs online entry system by the deadline of 18:00 on Monday 13th November (6th week). Cheques payable to OULRC to be pidged to Dhaval Desai at St Edmund Hall.
